As a high school and top tier college athlete, Marco recognized early on that physical fitness and mental fitness go hand in hand.

Behavior change and lifestyle modifications are crucial to anyone’s fitness goals, especially when you’re performing at the level of an athlete.

After graduating from UC Davis with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, he began his post college fitness career as a Personal Trainer in San Francisco, CA for 7 years.  His passion for helping people transform their bodies fueled his desire to learn more about Health Psychology and led him to Los Angeles where he achieved his Masters Degree in Psychology from the university of Santa Monica.  Not only did his roster of celebrity clients explode, but his exposure as a Fitness Expert skyrocketed as well.  Marco has appeared on the pages of Cosmopolitan, Fitness, Variety, Self, and the LA Times to name a few. Marco is Certified by ASAM, NASM, and APEX Nutrition.

In 2011 Marco published his first book titled The 3+1 Diet Get Beyond Fit which details his most successful diet strategies.  “The main concept of the 3+1 Diet is that you don’t have to deprive yourself of your favorite foods in order to turn your body into a fat burning machine.”  He developed the strategy of staggering your calories, allowing yourself to consume protein and vegetables for 3 days followed by reintroducing carbs every 4th day. The success of his program is not limited to nutrition however.  Marco expertly guides you through the basics of developing a solid workout routine incorporating weight lifting, kick boxing, stretching and functional training.
