Back Workout, Battle Ropes, and Beard Oil – 2016 Fitness Trends

Fitness Trends 2016

You're probably not wondering what a back workout, battle ropes, beard oil and weightlifting grips have in common, because why would you?  According to Google Trends, for the fitness industry there are some surprising fitness trends in 2016 that may set the stage for 2017. It turns out that some of them may help you in the gym and others are just plain bizarre.  Regardless, 2016 Fitness Trends are a good indicator of what's to come in the new year.

Best Back Workout

Millions of Americans sit at their desk all day. The human body isn't designed to be sedentary, much less be stopped over a keyboard for hours at a time.  It's no wonder why more people are searching back workouts.  Sometimes referred to as swimmer's back, when sitting at your desk for hours at a time, your posture tends to reflect that.  This means shoulders are rolled forward which can hyper extend the muscles of the back causing burning or discomfort. Strengthening the back will help you keep your posture in check.

2016 Fitness Trends Battle Ropes

This one wasn't surprising to us.  A battling ropes workout is one of the most effective total body workouts you can do.  Also not surprising is that GymPaws Weight Lifting Grips are the perfect addition to this exercise routine. The slightly padded leather palms protect your hands while enhancing your grip, and the 4 finger loops keep them in place.  Check out our YouTube Video showing 12 gut blasting ball busting exercises you can do with battle ropes.

Beard Oil

If you're clean shaven, or a women, you may not even know what this is. One of the annoying trends (and hashtags) of 2015 and 2016 was the man bun. #manbun is almost as annoying.  Not men's grooming habits and trends have changed and facial hair and beards are more popular. If you're a guy sporting some scruff, you need to try beard oil. The concept is pretty simple, it conditions and moisturized the hair and skin beneath and also helps to keep in looking well groomed versus fuzzy and unruly.  It may have been grouped into 2016 Fitness Trends simply because it's probably a good product to have after your shower from that sweat inducing weightlifting workout at the gym.
